Originally custom made as a
battery powered unit for a sporting goods product, this
module is about 1/3 the cost of a standard 635nm LQA
Module. It is formally known as SLAL-3.5L-635-T3 ( a Custom LQA Designation). This unit utilizes a high quality, 7mW, 635nm Taiwan diode. It has a single positive lead (with a + case polarity), as well as a negative rear spring contact. Maybe solder a black lead onto the spring and you have a standard module.
